Frequently Asked Questions
WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE?
Visit our Instagram or TikTok. These are great places to see videos and highlights of what we're all about. If you have questions about the methodology or what to expect, we encourage you to message us!
DO I HAVE TO DANCE IN HEELS?
Heels are encouraged but never required. We love heels because they elevate you physically and energetically, changing how you carry yourself. Many Babes come to classes in tennis shoes or socks. We don't mind what you wear; we just want you there!
WHAT KIND OF HEELS ARE BEST?
The best choice is what you feel comfortable in. Opt for heels with good ankle support and some flexibility to allow movement. We love the brand BURJU, and you can use promo code "body confidence" for a 10% discount.
WHO ARE "BABES" AND "BADDIES"?
As part of our inclusive structure, we use non-gender-identifying terms for our community. We use "Babes" for our incredible community of clients and "Baddies" when we're talking about our instructors. We have a saying: "Once a Babe, always a Babe"—and we mean that! Whether you've attended one or 100 classes, you are a valued part of this community.
DOES EVERYONE KNOW EACH OTHER?
Watching our videos, you might think everyone knows each other- highlighting how our methodology fosters community and support.
We have new Babes in almost every class! Whether you're a first-timer or regular, our Babes are eager to embrace newcomers. Our Baddie mentors start with introductions and an intention circle, helping everyone connect quickly. The magic of our program lies in supporting one another—you'll feel embraced and celebrated for showing up.
WHAT IS BODY CONFIDENCE?
Our Body Confidence methodology empowers you to walk confidently through life no matter how you feel about your body's appearance that day. We celebrate all body shapes, sizes, colors, and abilities as beautiful and want you to feel confident in your body no matter what. The confidence you gain in class will carry into your life and radiate like a halo. We've seen countless transformations of Babes who changed their life from our program as they shifted their self-perception and embraced their highest self. We want that for every Babe on Earth!
We support body positivity and understand it may not resonate with everyone. Loving your body all the time is unrealistic and sets unfair expectations. At Heal in a Heel, we also advocate for Body Neutrality, which means accepting your body with respect, nourishment, and kindness and focusing on its capabilities rather than just physical appearance.
